POD, Partners of Dorris a Non-Profit Organization Bringing Music
Back to the students of Dorris Place
Special thanks and recognition to Miles Mosley for generously allowing us to include his original song, “Shine,” in the video. Mosley was born and raised in Los Angeles and a graduate of Colburn School of Music in downtown L.A. where he was trained in classical music and jazz. He received his undergraduate degree in music from UCLA and has studied with jazz bass legends John Clayton, Ray Brown, and Al McKibbon. Mosley has released a number of albums containing his own solo work. In addition, he has worked for Creative Counseling Network, a non-profit organization that provides access to the arts for under-served young people. Miles Mosley is a true legend and an inspiration to the kids at Dorris Place.
